Electrical Installation Continues at De Montfort University

Our on site team have been installing photovoltaic panels onto the roof of De Montfort University’s Hugh Aston Building. These panels will provide the building with a steady source of sustainable low-cost energy to supplement the main electrical supplies.

This is the latest phase of our Hugh Aston Building project, where our team have previously been working to install electrical services to the building’s new four story extension.

Due to the location of the building, which is in the centre of the De Montfort University campus, we’ve been working with the university to minimise disruption during this installation and have been using in-house BIM design to help with the coordination of services within the limited space.

The new extension provides the Hugh Aston building with more than 2048 sq m of additional space and is part of the university’s master plan to create a first class campus.
